Charlotte Melin works on teaching and research initiatives in the environmental humanities that relate to German studies, transnational literary relations, and second language education. Her publications include Poetic Maneuvers: Hans Magnus Enzensberger and the Lyric Genre (2003), With or Without: Reading Postwar German Women Poets (2013), and ecocritical readings of postwar German poetry. She is active in the German Studies Association Interdisciplinary Network for Environmental Studies and currently editing a collection of essays, Foreign Language Teaching and the Environment: Theory, Curricula, Institutional Structures.
