We are looking for a specialist who can contribute to our undergraduate major and writing minor, and who can contribute to our outreach to programs in the STEM disciplines.
The Department of American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in fall 2018. The desired areas of specialization include intersectional approaches to Public Health and Environmental Studies, broadly conceived. With a teaching load of two courses per semester, it is expected that the successful candidate will teach at least one of the department’s core survey courses each semester, including U.S. Social and Cultural History (AMS 355 and/or 356).
